Paint splatter design!

Design tutorial of the day!
Paint splatter!

Ever wonder how to make this super cool design? It's actually pretty easy.

You will need: Straws, and a paper towel (to cover your work area)

1. Place the paper towel down where ever you are doing your designing.

2. Apply your base coat (in the picture, I used a basic black).

3. With your selecting of paint splatter colors ready, open the first color and take one end of the straw and stick into the bottle. When you pull it out, be careful not to have heavy drops falling off. You may have to run the straw along the edge of the bottle.

4. With the force as though you were shooting darts, blow on the other end of the straw, with the straw face your nail.

5. Viola! You will find that you'll need to do step 3 and 4 multiple times for the same color, but that's ok :)

Have fun! Don't forget to ask questions! ;)

Problems with glitter nail polish?

Ever run into problems removing glittery nail polish from your nails? I have! But there is a trick that I use to remove glittery nail polish from my nails that makes "nail makeovers" so much easier!

You need: nail polish remover, cotton balls, and tin foil.

Soak the cotton ball with the nail polish remover with just enough remover to saturate the cotton ball (you don't want to waste polish remover :P).

Place the cotton ball on your glittery nail, and wrap tin foil around your entire finger to hold the cotton ball in place.

Wait about three minutes, and then slowly, and with some pressure, pull the tin foil and cotton ball off your nails. It might not take all the polish off, but it certainly removes the majority!

Hope this helps you on your nailventures! If you have any questions about this technique, feel free to ask! :)
